Hole 15 – California Fruit Exchange Railroad Mainline

As you play this hole, look to your right and you will see portions of the old CFE railroad roadbed. Now close your eyes and visualize a railroad and a steam locomotive with a load of pine logs, probably about 20 cars, on their way to the mill. This railroad mainline ran from Graeagle out as far as the Calpine summit and was in use six or seven years in the 1930’s.
Pro Tip: Thread the needle with your drive to end up in perfect position. Two fairway bunkers give the player his or her target. Second shot will play downhill to a green with a well positioned bunker. Always play towards the center of the green for a chance at par.
