Hole 9 – Squatter’s Cabin
Par 4 / 362 Yards
In 1958, when the West family purchased this property from the California Fruit Exchange, where the 9th green is now located, stood a dilapidated cabin. It was occupied that summer by an old codger who became very hostile when asked to vacate. The following December when he had left for the winter, and snow was on the ground, the cabin was demolished and its surroundings cleaned up.
Pro Tip: Short par four that puts a premium on accuracy. Left center of fairway is ideal for a short approach shot to a green surround by pines.
